Jonathan Bernz of Yorktown announced the formation of Hudson Property Advisors, LLC, a Mt. Kisco real estate advisory services company specializing in appraisal and consulting of commercial, industrial, large scale residential, special purpose properties and vacant land in the Hudson Valley area.

The New York Power Authority (NYPA), White Plains, a state-owned electric utility, named Jennifer Mayadas-Dering of Cross River, manager of operations planning for NYPA’s transmission business unit, as its 2007 Woman Leader.

Carrafiello Diehl & Associates, Irvington, an advertising agency, was hired by Elations Co., based in Cincinnati, to handle the national launch of Elations, a nutritional beverage, with national television and magazine advertisements.

Hudson Valley Holding Corp., Yonkers, parent company of Hudson Valley Bank, recently received federal approval to change from a state charter to a national charter. Hudson Valley Bank, which has 22 branches in New York State, is expanding into Connecticut with a branch in Stamford.

 


Newsmakers

Michelle Hill of Milford, Conn., was appointed associate executive director of Sterling Glen of Rye Brook, an independent living senior residence. Most recently, Hill was director of operations at an assisted-living community in Woodbridge, Conn., and as executive director of another in Milford. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Western Connecticut State University.

Dr. Bruce Pinker of Suffern, a podiatrist, was appointed to the board of the New York Diabetes Coalition, White Plains, for a two-year term. Since 2004, he has been in private practice in White Plains. Prior to that, he was chief resident in podiatric surgery at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and philosophy from the State University of New York at Binghamton and a medical degree from New York College of Podiatric Medicine.
