Shopping center eyed for White Plains

The White Plains Planning Commission is reviewing a proposal for a possible new shopping center in the city that would be situated on Bloomingdale Road.

Stamford-based developers CorePlus Properties L.L.C. is proposing a 48,000-square-foot shopping center at 120 Bloomingdale Road, between Bloomingdale’s department store and The Westchester mall. The White Plains Common Council received the proposal during a meeting Dec. 5.

CorePlus is proposing several retail stores from regional and national retailers, restaurants and a parking garage.

An office building that currently houses state Department of Transportation and other offices sits at the 7-acre lot at 120 Bloomingdale Road at the proposed site of the shopping center.

CorePlus owns a corporate campus at 555 Pleasantville Road in Pleasantville.
