Mariner Investment expands in Harrison

Mariner Investment Group Inc., an asset management firm based in New York City, has expanded its office space and an affiliate’s at 500 Mamaroneck Ave. in Harrison, a five-story, 285,000-square-foot building owned by W&M Properties.

The firm recently extended its first-floor lease in the class A building from 2010 through 2017, expanding the space by 6,829 square feet and bringing its total first-floor occupancy to 15,544 square feet, said Jeffrey H. Newman, executive vice president of W&M Properties and the building’s marketing and managing agent.

A 5,679-square-foot portion of the expansion space will be occupied by Caspian Capital Advisors L.L.C., Mariner’s affiliated investment company.

Mariner, which also leases 20,814 square feet of space on the building’s fourth floor, occupies a total of 36,358 square feet at 500 Mamaroneck Ave.

Newman and senior leasing associate Kimberly A. Zaccagnino represented the landlord in the transaction. Douglas Furer of Mariner Real Estate Services represented the tenant.

DLC acquires Ga. retail center

DLC Management Corp., a national owner and operator of open-air shopping centers based in Tarrytown, has added to it southeast U.S. portfolio with the recent acquisition of Bethesda Walk, a 4-year-old, 68,271-square-foot community shopping center in Lawrenceville, Ga.

The seller was Regency Centers. DLC officials did not disclose the purchase price.

DLC also owns 13 other shopping centers in the greater Atlanta area.
