Law firms join forces

Oxman Tulis Kirkpatrick Whyatt & Geiger of White Plains and Davidoff Malito & Hutcher of New York City announced last week an affiliation of their two firms.

“Our new association with Davidoff Malito & Hutcher provides us with an extraordinary opportunity to expand the range of services we offer our clients,” Marc Oxman, a senior partner in the White Plains firm, said in a statement. “This affiliation will supplement our existing litigation, land use and transaction departments and offer additional expertise in specialized areas such as corporate and securities law, trusts and estates, and intellectual property law.”

Davidoff was administrative assistant to New York Mayor John V. Lindsay for seven years. Robert Malito served as New York City’s lobbyist in Albany during the Lindsay administration.

Oxman and Mark Tulis have both held positions in Westchester County politics, albeit on opposite sides of the fence. Oxman served as executive director of the Westchester Democratic Committee and chairman of County Executive Andy Spano’s first election and transition committees.

Tulis is a former Republican town supervisor of New Castle and a member of the county Board of Legislators. He also served for several years as chairman of the board of the Westchester County Medical Center.
