United Hebrew Geriatric Center (UHGC), New Rochelle, a not-for-profit, multiservice senior living campus, received the Isabel Brabazon Award for Evaluation Research from Generations United, Washington, D.C., a national membership organization focused on improving the lives of children, youth and older people, for its intergenerational program.

Hitachi Metals America Ltd., Purchase, a manufacturer of a variety of products and components for various industries, announced that it will donate 63 acres of land and nine buildings to the village of Edmore, Mich. Hitachi Metals America acquired the Edmore facility from General Electric in 1973 and operated it continually as a manufacturing facility for magnetic products until it was decommissioned in 2005.
