1. Food Network celebrity chef Bobby Flay (left) dishes it out from the grill with Nigel Spence, owner of Ripe Kitchen and Bar in Mount Vernon during a recent taping of “Throwdown with Bobby Flay,” which positions him against a master chef known for a special type of cuisine. In this segment it’s jerk, the most popular cuisine from Spence’s native country, Jamaica. To make it even more special he has created Ripe’s Jerk Rib-Eye Steak.

Jordan Donohue, a 17-year-old Greenwich High School senior won the longest drive for women at the Professional Women in Construction (PWC) golf outing, July 2, at the Elmwood Country Club in White Plains. Golfers participating in the July 16th Children’s Corporate Challenge Golf Classic at Sleepy Hollow Country Club to Benefit Friends of Karen (from left) are: Jim Downes, founding partner of Rende, Ryan & Downes L.L.P. law firm and event honoree, Lou Margan, Mike Grady and Ken Weiss. Fitness Together, the one of the world’s largest personal-training organization within a customized setting raised almost $5,000 for Habitat for Humanity at its recent “Hottest Personal Trainer” competition.
