James E. Lukaszewski of Danbury, Conn., chairman of The Lukaszewski Group, White Plains, a management consulting firm, was named the Outstanding Practitioner of the Year in the 2007 regional Mercury Awards competition for public relations, communications and marketing professionals, sponsored by the Westchester/Fairfield, Connecticut Valley and southern Connecticut chapters of the Public Relations Society of America. Lukaszewski was recognized for advancing the profession through significant industry achievements, involvement and reputation.

Lexington Center for Recovery (LCR), Mount Kisco, a provider of alcohol and substance abuse treatment services, received a $304,800 grant from the state Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services for LCR’s adolescent pilot program in Dutchess County.

BA-Insight, White Plains, a provider of information access solutions based on the Microsoft platform, announced that The Blackstone Group, a global alternative asset manager and provider of financial advisory services, has selected its Longitude product to address Blackstone’s information access needs.
