James Raved of Larchmont was appointed senior vice president at Tishman Construction Corp., New York City, a construction firm. Since 1999, Raved worked at Bear, Stearns & Co., New York City, most recently as a managing director and senior counsel and initially as an associate director. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and history from Harpwick College and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.

Jacqueline Four Sanders of East Williston was appointed general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester, White Plains, a hotel scheduled to open in October. Since 2003, Sanders was hotel manager at the Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park, in Manhattan. Prior to that, she was resident manager of the Hotel Plaza-Athenee, Manhattan. Sanders holds a bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management from the New York Institute of Technology.

Linda T. Alster-Nelson of Cortlandt Manor joined The Dorf Law Firm L.L.P., Mamaroneck, as counsel. Most recently, Alster-Nelson was an associate at The Law Offices of Jonathan B. Nelson, New York City. Prior to that she was an associate at the law firm Lovett & Gould, White Plains. Before that, she was an associate at the law firm Brand Brand & Burke, New York City. Alster-Nelson holds a dual Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice and French from Niagara University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the New England School of Law.

Malcolm Pirnie Inc., White Plains, an environmental consulting company, announced the following promotions.

James R. Danalewich of New York City was promoted to an associate. Since 2005, Danalewich was a senior project engineer. He joined the firm in 1998. Danalewich holds both a Bachelor of Science degree and master’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Illinois.

Edward G. Kowalski of White Plains was promoted to an associate. Since 2004, Kowalski was a senior control systems engineer. He joined the firm in 1999. Kowalski holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Hofstra University.

Joseph J. Krupa of Croton-on-Hudson was promoted to an associate. Since 2004, Krupa was a senior consultant. He joined the firm in 1995. Krupa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University and a Master of Engineering degree in environmental engineering from Manhattan College.

Seth Schneider of Rye was promoted to an associate. Since 2005, Schneider was a senior project engineer. He joined the firm in 1997. Schneider holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil and environmental engineering from Cornell University and a master’s degree in engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Joyette M. Tyler of Larchmont was promoted to an associate. Tyler was formerly a senior project engineer. She joined the firm in 1988. Tyler holds both a Bachelor of Engineering degree in civil engineering and a Master of Engineering degree in environmental engineering from Manhattan College.

Ilanna Schwalbe of Scarsdale joined ONS Physical Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation Center, Greenwich, Conn., a provider of orthopaedic and neurological physical and occupational therapy care, as an occupational and certified hand therapist. Since 1993, Schwalbe was a senior hand therapist at the Hand Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy Group, Hartsdale. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in liberal arts from the University of Washington and a Master of Arts degree in occupational therapy from New York University.

Classic Residence by Hyatt, Yonkers, a rental senior living community, announced the following promotions.

Leslie Schatzer of New York City was promoted to director of lifestyle enrichment. Schatzer joined the community in 2005 as a sales counselor. Prior to that, she was director of group sales in the resort division of Wyndham Hotels. Before that, she was director of sales at Radisson, Aruba. Schatzer holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and anthropology from Southampton College.

Aida Carino of Yonkers was promoted to lifestyle coordinator. Carino was formerly a programs activities assistant. She joined the community in 2000. Carino holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Pace University.

John Silvanie of Ridgefield, Conn., president of White Plains Bus, White Plains, a provider of school bus service to the White Plains and Greenburgh 7 school districts, and president of Suburban Charter Services, White Plains, a provider of bus services, was elected president of the Bus Association of New York State Inc., a trade association representing private bus companies. Silvanie has been a member of the organization’s board of directors since 2004.

Nick Kounios of Mahopac, senior income tax specialist and financial advisor at Pinnacle Taxx Inc., Mount Kisco, a tax and financial services firm, was elected to the board of directors the New York state chapter of the National Association of Tax Professionals.
